Vista Gold owned owns 100% of the Amayapampa project. In December 2003, Vista reached an agreement to sell the project to Luzon Minerals Ltd. ("Luzon"), of Vancouver, British Columbia, for cash, shares of Luzon and a royalty. The project was then purchased by Republic Gold.
Location of the Amayapampa Project
The Amayapampa Gold Project is located 380 km southeast of La Paz, on the Altiplano of south western Bolivia, at an elevation of 4,100 metres.
 
Geology of the Amayapampa Project
As Amayapampa is in an identical geological setting deposits in the Company’s Hodgkinson Basin project area and in Central Victoria, the Company considers that the Altiplano region of Bolivia has strong economic potential. The Company will actively seek other projects in Bolivia to utilise its knowledge and understanding of the geology of the region.
