RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) _ Black Hills Corp. (BKH) on Tuesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $14.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Rapid City, South Dakota-based company said it had a loss of 30 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 71 cents per share.
The energy company posted revenue of $318.3 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $32.1 million, or 71 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $1.3 billion.
Black Hills expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.40 to $2.60 per share.
Black Hills shares have risen 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $49.30, a drop of 2 percent in the last 12 months.
