GOLD WILL SURGE AS THE WORLD HITS A ROCK OR A HARD PLACE |
The world is now between Scylla and Charybdis or between two evils. Thus, there is no solution or positive outcome of the the present state of the world economy. Scylla is the rock or the six headed monster whilst Charybdis is a whirlpool or a black hole (a hard place).
BETWEEN SCYLLA (a rock) and CHARYBDIS (a hard place)
Since 2006-9, governments and central banks believe that they have got through the strait of Messina passing through Scylla and Charybdis but sadly they are mistaken. The worldSaturday, January 20, 2018 |

Get an Education - Jeff Thomas |
Back in the ‘60’s, an interviewer asked the
“King of Folk Music”, Bob Dylan what his goal in life was. Bob answered
something to the effect of,
“I
want to make enough money to go to college, so one day I can be somebody.”
Bob had a good sense of irony. And certainly,
he was always more inclined to think outside the box than to follow the
well-trodden path. That was part of what made him so interesting and part of
what made him so successful. A similar sentiment was expressed in a song by hiSaturday, January 6, 2018 |

Applied Mainline Economics (2017), by Matthew Mitchell and Peter Boettke |
Matthew Mitchell and Peter Boettke are academic economists at the Mercatus Center, a think tank associated with George Mason University. I like Mercatus and its work a lot, as it explicitly builds upon and follows the work of people like F.A. Hayek, Adam Smith, and James Buchanan. I don’t follow the academics too closely, but they often have some good insights, so I was looking forward to a book that might summarize some of those insights and let me know where to look for more detail.

Gold Juniors’ Q3’17 Fundamentals |
The
junior gold miners’ stocks have spent months grinding sideways near
lows, sapping confidence and breeding widespread bearishness. The
entire precious-metals sector has been left for dead, eclipsed by
the dazzling Trumphoria stock-market rally. But traders need to
keep their eyes on the fundamental ball so herd sentiment doesn’t
mislead them. The juniors recently reported Q3 earnings, and
enjoyed strong results.

SILVER:
Silver has been the money of commerce for several thousand years. In contrast, unbacked debt-based fiat currencies have been a devaluing money substitute for decades.
According to the St. Louis Federal Reserve, total debt securities and official national debt have increased exponentially for decades. Prices for the stock market, silver, gold, food and most other necessities increase similarly.
National debt has risen at 8 – 9% per year since 1913. Since then the value of the dollar hFriday, October 27, 2017 |

For the first time Australia’s signature bullion coin series, the Australian Kangaroo, has been struck in three prime investment metals – 99.99% pure gold, 99.99% pure silver, and 99.95% pure platinum. Market Update
It´s been a couple of tough days when silver experienced a flash crash and gold moved below its 200MA at 1,235 USD. But the incredible pessimism among basically all precious metals investors and analysts was a great contrarian signal.
Now gold and silver already do look better and I believe we might be right at the beginning of a multi-month bull run that could take gold towards 1,500 USD and silver towards 26,00 USD.

‘White’ Philosophers Next Ban At College: “A Real Danger Of Political Correctness Out of Control” |
“Rather ridiculous” … and ultimately quite dangerous.
Apparently, there is no end to the stupidity… especially at centers of higher learning.
In the quest for diversity, fair representation and perhaps payback, some racially-minded education reformers are now attempting to erase philosophers like Plato and Kant from the curriculum – because they are ‘white.’
Never mind that some of these minds are foundational to knowledge as we know it, or the direction of western society.
They are white.
