Central Banks Double Down on the Mistakes of 2008... Creating the Greatest Bubble in Financial History |
The common consensus in the financial community today is that the Fed and other Central Banks have somehow managed to end the business cycle. The result of this is that we’ve entered a period of sustained growth (albeit low growth) that will continue in perpetuity until something magical happens and stronger growth returns.
On the surface, this argument is embarrassingly naive. And it is astounding that grown adults actually believe it.
The Fed and other global Central Banks are largely being ruMonday, August 29, 2016 |

FRA Predicts Massive Tax Grab Coming in 2016 at All Levels of Govern |
A Massive 'Tax Grab' Must Now Be Expected
The Financial Repression Authority sees the massive government tax grab already
quietly underway accelerating in 2016 in most of the developed economies.
This 'grab' will be a desperate political act driven by underfunded, and in
a significant number of cases, unfunded public pension which will unfold at
all three levels of government, Federal, State and City /Local government.
It will be disguised by different focal emphasis and appear to evolveThursday, January 7, 2016 |

What Happens When Stocks Catch Up With Commodities |
Since 2009, the global markets have been largely steered by Central Bank policy, NOT organic economic growth. With the debt-based monetary system dangerously close to shutting down during the 2008 meltdown, Central Banks stepped in as the “buyers of last resort” to provide a backstop to the system.
The problem is that the individuals running the Central Banks are prone to human hubris, specifically overconfidence in the validity of their opinions and abilities. Since most Central Bankers are KeTuesday, December 15, 2015 |

Deflation Is Winning – Beware! |
Deflation is back on the front burner and it's going to destroy all of the careful central planning and related market manipulation of the past 6 years.
Clear signs from the periphery indicate that a destructive deflationary pulse has been unleashed. Tanking commodity prices are confirming that idea.
Whole groups of enterprises involved in mining and energy are about to be destroyed. And the commodity-heavy nations of Canada, Australia and Brazil are in for a very rough ride.

This 4.6 Yielder Could See Cash Flow Surge |
The global population continues to expand at a steady pace, and agronomists believe that crop yields will need to double by 2050 to meet rising food demand. That should be leading to rising demand for fertilizer producers, but these firms haven't seen much benefit from the trend in recent years. Blame goes to a weakening Chinese economy and lower commodity prices, which reduce farm incomes. The knockout punch came in July 2013 when Russian potash miner Uralkali decided to abandon cartel-like pThursday, April 23, 2015 |

How to Find Safe Yields in an Interest-Rate-Sensitive World |
While Mr. Bernanke's policies have taken a toll on seniors and savers, his mere mention of the word "taper" last spring did us all a favor. It sent interest rates rising, bond and stock prices tumbling, and in the days that followed, the Fed went into damage control—quite a lot of hubbub for something the Fed was only pondering. What happens when they announce they actually did something?
To pinpoint the answer, the Money Forever analysts and I looked at the performance of utilities, a longtimFriday, November 29, 2013 |

Exposure of Banker Corruption |
Few observers make the connection, but the current LIBOR scandal is a middle inning of two important events. The first is the demise of the Western banker leadership crew. The executives from the most powerful banks will be last to be deposed, all sharing an ethnic strain. The second is the open fracture of the Western financial system.Friday, July 6, 2012 |

Let's just say that I wouldn't want to be buying domestic municipal bonds at current levels if I lived in the United States and was seeking safety. Here's a 6 year weekly log-scale chart of the Nuveen Municipal Bond Price Return Index ETF ($NMUNP) thru Friday's close:
Corporate junk bonds are breaking down with the stock markets in the short-term but their charts looka whole lot healthier than municipal bonds.Tuesday, June 14, 2011 |
