| National Fuel Gas beats 1Q profit forecasts |
| WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ National Fuel Gas Co. (NFG) on Thursday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $84.7 million.
The Williamsville, New York-based company said it had profit of $1 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 89 cents per share.
The energy company posted revenue of $523.9 million in the period.

| WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ National Fuel Gas Co. (NFG) on Friday reported earnings of $57.4 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.
The Williamsville, New York-based company said it had profit of 68 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were 60 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 57 cents per share.
The energy company posted revenue of $366.6 million in the period.
