Silver as a Strategic Metal and Why Prices Will Soar
The arguments in favor of silver as an investment asset are growing rapidly. In the opinion of the Jackass, silver is the most under-valued hard asset in existence, with the highest potential for price appreciation on the globe. To begin with, central banks own no silver, but do own huge tracts of gold. Industry has huge demand for silver, but a trifling amount for gold demand. The investment demand is another key factor in favor of silver, but also for gold. Ever since the tech telecom bust in

  One-year score card for Trump
We understand our politicians to be human, with much that that implies. In a democracy, politics is a competitive business, which means that generally well-balanced individuals tend to succeed, while those who are obviously unbalanced do not. And as for political power corrupting individuals, that is normally limited by the obligation to periodically seek an electoral mandate. That, at least is the theory, but in late-2016, the election of President-elect Donald Trump caused us all to question t

We Come In Peace -
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12 Stocks drifted higher today, setting new records.  Huzzah! Gold and silver drifted largely sideways. It was risk on, or at least timidly so, ahead of the start of the new earnings season which I believe begins this coming Friday. The Trump Administration has a plan to give marching orders to US dipl

Forecast 2018 — What Could Go Wrong
Markets If you take your cues from Consensus Trance Central — the cable news networks, The New York Times, WashPost, and HuffPo — Trump is all that ails this foundering empire. Well, Trump and Russia, since the Golden Golem of Greatness is in league with Vladimir Putin to loot the world, or something like that. Since I believe that the financial system is at the heart of today’s meta-question (What Could Go Wrong?), it would be perhaps more to the point to ask: what has held this matrix of racke

2017, The Year of the Truth Bomb! (Part 1)
Here we are at the end of 2017 with more “truth bombs” released than I could have imagined!  In fact, I believe we probably received more “truth” in just one year than collectively in all of human history.  This is a sad statement because it also means we have lived behind more lies than at any time prior.  Also surprising is none individually have cracked the dam called “confidence”.  But do not be fooled as it looks as if the entire dam is moving, particularly in the last few weeks! As we have

SELL CRYPTOS – BUY GOLD
During the 2006-9 financial crisis, a collapse of the global financial system was avoided by massive money printing, guarantees and allowing banks to value assets at cost rather than market, as well as a panic lowering of interest rates from as high as 6% in the US to zero or negative. Bonds issued by eight major countries currently have negative interest rates from 1 & 2 year debt for Italy up to 15 & 30 year debt for Japan, Germany and Switzerland.   What Now
It must be exciting to wake up on a gilded bed somewhere in Riyadh and realize that you are Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, mover and shaker of Middle East order. Actually, exciting just to have woken up at all. Perhaps Prince MBS checks to make sure that there aren’t seventy-two virgins in the room before he rises to prayers, state business, and the prospect of World War Three. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has been a giant gasoline bomb waiting to explode for decades. It occupies o

If The Saudi Arabia Situation Doesn't Worry You, You're Not Paying Attention
While turbulent during the best of times, gigantic waves of change are now sweeping across the Middle East. The magnitude is such that the impact on the global price of oil, as well as world markets, is likely to be enormous. A dramatic geo-political realignment by Saudi Arabia is in full swing this month. It’s upending many decades of established strategic relationships among the world's superpowers and, in particular, is throwing the Middle East into turmoil. So much is currently in flux, espe

Rising Gold Prices Lag Crude Oil as Saudis Accuse Iran of War, Equities Rise with Bitcoin
GOLD PRICES held most of yesterday's 1.0% jump against the Dollar and touched new 3-week highs for Euro investors on Tuesday, trading higher as crude oil rose and Saudi Arabia accused Iran of "direct military aggression" tantamount to a declaration of war. Wall Street's S&P500 index of US stocks ended Monday with its 11th new record closing high in a month. Crypto-currency Bitcoin today rallied

Gold, Silver and Oil Prices Rally on Saudi Game of Thrones
Gold, silver and oil prices all spiked significantly higher today on news coming out of Saudi Arabia. Several members of the royal family were arrested and imprisoned over the past few days. This appears to be an attempt to consolidate power by the 32-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The so-called “anti-corruption probe” is widely seen as  a countercoup that has led to the arrest of dozens of Saudi Arabian royals, ministers and businessmen allowing Price Mohammed to further cement cont

Embracing Cryptos and Bashing Gold - Rory Hall
We are beginning to see and hear more and more from the mainstream media about cryptocurrencies – just all positive, gleeful sounds of joy. Ben Bernanke will be delivering the key note speech, in October, at an upcoming blockchain conference. Jim Cramer recently said bitcoin could go to $1 million Federal Reserve Notes!!! Oh, and the IMF, they said they are going to “crush cryptocurrencies” with their own central bank DLT cryptocurrency. What about the banking cabal? Well, we have the vamp

  Chinese Leverage to Kill Petro-dollar
The Chinese Govt is greatly irritated by the requirement to use USDollars in payment for crude oil in the global market. The Beijing officials finally have some leverage in arranging for a major deal to pay for crude oil in RMB currency, their Yuan. The negotiations have been in progress for a couple months. The development is not covered well in the financial press, not even in the alternative media. It will happen, just a matter of time. Its effect will be far reaching and likely devastating.

Global Currency Reserve at Risk
Within the US borders, the population remains largely ignorant of the true significance of the global currency reserve concept. It is of paramount importance, yet almost never discussed in the financial press. The public within the United States simply assumes the country operates with the USDollar as its currency, with near blindness to its global role in trade and banking. The end of an era is coming, as the change will be powerful in its effect. The shock wave could hit this year in some form

Enter The NatGas Cartel
The King Dollar is mortally wounded. Many notice but the masses seem largely unaware. Since 1971, the Gold Standard has been removed from its anchor position. But since 1973, the Petro-Dollar has taken its place. It has called for crude oil sales led by the Saudis and OPEC to be transacted in USDollar terms, for oil surpluses to be stored in USTreasury Bonds, and for some kickbacks from the Saudis to the USMilitary complex for weapons purchases. Of course, the US is ready willing and able to cre
