Abcourt is a 100% owner of the Abcourt-Barvue silver zinc mine, located near Val d'Or, Quebec. This mine was in production from 1985 thru 1990.
Abcourt is now preparing to go back into production in early 2009. The resource is National Instrument 43-101 compliant, of 21 million ounces silver and 659 million pounds zinc. The first five years of production will be done through open pit mining as the ore body is near surface, The mine has $12 million in maintained infrastructure as it is a past producer.
A second property (Vendome-Barvallee) is located 7 miles away from the mine.
A silver resource has been identified at this property and exploration will be on-going. Quebec, Canada is a mining friendly jurisdiction and is rated very low risk geo-politically.
