Our friend Jonathan Bier in Britain contacted the United Nations a
little while ago to ask what became of its Internet site link to the 1981
gold swap treaty between the United States and United Kingdom. Bier says a
U.N. representative could not explain the disabling of the link but offered a
second link hosting the treaty:

Let's keep an eye on that one and hope that the U.N. will too.
