One of the growing theme
of late among those that are trying to actually research the facts
surrounding the claims of alleged JPMrogan price manipulation
in silver is who exactly is Andrew Maguire and can his information be
substantiated. Many researchers have been stymied when trying to obtain any
sort of background on this chap. What we do know is only what he has told us
through various known permabull and conspiracy
sites such as GATA and King World News to name only two in a handful.
According to the information provided to
us, Andrew Maguire was a former Goldman Sachs metals trader in London. His
whistle-blower status centers around what he was told…not what he did.
Remember he was “told” by metals traders that worked for JP
Morgan that there was manipulation going on in the metals market by their
firm in an effort to suppress the price of silver.
He was told ... this implies we are not dealing
with prima facie evidence but instead are dealing with hear-say evidence. There is a major
difference in how this type of evidence is dealt with and how much
creditability is afforded to it.
In any event, don’t take my word
for it. Watch this video… all of it, and focus your attention starting
at roughly 2:45 of the video in Jeffrey Christian’s interview. Nobody
has been able to obtain any sort of background on the guy. Even major
publications who were putting together significant pieces on the topic wanted
some background information on Maguire as part of their journalistic due
diligence but none of them were provided with anything. Why is it that
Goldman Sachs cannot confirm whether or not he ever worked for them and why
is it that it is near impossible to get a curriculum vitae of the guy even
when asked by the likes of the Economist, CNN,, BBC, Financial Times etc, he refused to provide any documentation to support
his claims that he has the background he claims he did. Is he just an
attention seeker as Christian claims? Of Further note is that the CFTC never
confirmed receiving the emails he has produced as his smoking gun. Nobody in
the London bullion market can confirm this guy even worked there.

Expect the heat to get turned up on
Maguire noting that more and more people are starting to question this
guy’s background and claims. I bought his information hook line and
sinker when it was revealed because back then, I was
believing all the manipulation conspiracy theories myself. Then I
started to question the sources and started wondering if they were marketing
something to me or actually providing me with fact based argument. Shortly
thereafter I changed my views and have since started to question it all.
