USEC Inc. (NYSE:USU) is the world's leading supplier of enriched uranium fuel for commercial nuclear power plants. USEC operates the only uranium enrichment facility in the United States and supplies more than half of the U.S. market and more than one-third of the world market. Annual revenues from nuclear fuel sales are about $1.4 billion. Nuclear energy supplies 20 percent of America's electricity and 16 percent of the world’s power. USEC operates a uranium enrichment plant in Kentucky. To continue its industry leadership, USEC is gearing up to demonstrate advanced centrifuge technology for deployment by the end of the decade.
