The board of directors of Currie Rose Resources Inc. has appointed Keith Benn as vice-president of exploration.
Keith Benn, P. Geo., graduated with a BSc in geology from the University of Western Ontario in 1983. He was awarded an MSc by Laval University for mapping and petrological studies of the Troodos ophiolite, Cyprus, and earned a Doctorate from the UniversitAcopyright de Montpellier II, France, for structural studies of the Oman ophiolite. His post-doctoral fellowship involved mapping and structural analysis of an Archean gneiss belt in northern Quebec. He was appointed to a full-time faculty position in the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Ottawa, in 1991 where he specialized in structural geology, tectonics, and interpretations of geophysical data with a focus on Archean terranes and gold-bearing shear zones.
Currie Rose has extensive interests in the Archaean age rocks of the Lake Victoria Greenstone Belt in Tanzania and Keith's strong experience in this terrain will add significant knowledge to the Company's prospects.
Mohamed Pondaga, a local geologist, will assist Keith in the country giving the balance of geological experience and local knowledge.
Mohamed has been mapping the Company's Sekenke prospect for the last four months and is presently managing a trenching and sampling program that is underway on the property.
As part of the compensation package, incentive options will be granted under the Company's Stock Option Plan in accordance with the terms and conditions of the stock option agreement entitling Keith Benn to purchase up to 300,000 shares in the capital of the Company, such options to be exercisable pursuant to the vesting provisions set out in the stock option agreement on or before July 31, 2013, at the price of $0.45 per share.
