Wednesday, January 05, 2011 Blue Sky Expands Technical Advisory Board
Blue Sky Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: BSK, FRA: MAL, WKN: A0MKXP, "Blue Sky" or "the Company) is pleased to announce that the Company has expanded and formalized a Technical Advisory Board. The new team will play a significant role in providing feedback and guidance to Blue Sky's exploration team on the ground in Argentina. The members of the Technical Advisory Board are Dr. David Terry (Chairman), Dr. Ronald McMillan, Dr. Gerald Carlson, Mr. Ronald Netolitzky and Dr. Samuel Romberger.
Dr. David Terry, Technical Advisory Board Chairman
Dr. Terry's has more than 20 years of experience focused on exploration for a wide spectrum of precious and base metal deposits throughout North and South America. He has held numerous senior positions with both major and junior mining companies, including Boliden Limited, Westmin Resources Limited, Hemlo Gold Mines Inc., Cominco Limited and Gold Fields Mining Corporation. He holds a BSc and PhD from the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Ronald McMillan
Dr. McMillan has over 45 years of experience as an exploration and mining geologist throughout Canada, North America and on several other continents, where he has undertaken detailed and regional property evaluations as well as estimation of mineral resources. He has authored numerous papers on uranium exploration and uranium deposits presented to, among others, the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the American Nuclear Association, the Royal Society (of London), the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy and the Mineralogical Society of Canada. He has also served as a Board Member/Director with the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Geological Association of Canada, B.C. and Yukon Chamber of Mines and the Canadian Geoscience Council. He is a registered P.Geo. (B.C.) and P.Eng (Ont.), a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists, a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the Association for Mineral Exploration BC.
Dr. Gerald Carlson
Dr. Carlson has been involved for over 35 years in managing mineral exploration and mining development companies. His experience has focused on precious and base metal deposits around the Pacific Rim, including western North America, Mexico, Central America, South America, Australia and Asia. This experience has included independent consulting assignments, management of major company exploration programs, junior mining companies and university level teaching. He has taken an active role in professional geosciences associations on both local and national levels and is a past President of AMEBC (formerly the British Columbia and Yukon Chamber of Mines) and President of the Society of Economic Geologists Canada Foundation. Dr. Carlson is currently President of Windstorm Resources Inc. and a Director of several other junior mineral exploration companies.
Mr. Ronald Netolitzky
Mr. Netolitzky holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Alberta and an MSc degree from the University of Calgary, both in geological sciences. Mr. Netolitzky has Snip, Eskay Creek, and Brewery Creek gold mines to his credit and he is one of a handful of Canadian explorationists acknowledged as a successful mine finder and developer. He was honoured with the Bill Dennis Prospector of the Year Award in 1990 by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. He was the Chairman of Viceroy Exploration with the exploration success of Gualcaymayo gold mine in Argentina resulting in the sale of the Company to Yamana Gold.
Dr. Samuel B. Romberger
Dr. Romberger, Emeritus Professor, Colorado School of Mines, has over 40 years of national and international experience in teaching, research, and consulting at the university level and in the corporate setting. He has demonstrated knowledge in a wide range of hydrothermal mineral deposits including, but not limited to uranium, precious metals, and copper. He has served as a consultant to a wide range of companies, including AREVA and CAMECO, the two the largest nuclear power and world uranium producers. His greatest impact has been through in-house workshops and short courses on the application of geochemical models to exploration where his objective was to impart useful, but sometimes complex, geochemical approaches to practicing exploration geologists, that give them a broader set of tools to help in understand the processes responsible for the formation of low temperature and hydrothermal mineral deposits.
