SUNRISE MINERALS INCREASES FINANCING TO $1.92 MILLION

Toronto, Ontario, July 5, 2007 - Sunrise Minerals Inc. [TSXV:SUN] is pleased to announce that it has increased its non-brokered private placement up to 12,000,000 units at 0.16 CAN per unit of the Company to raise gross proceeds of up to $1,920,000.

�Each unit will consist of one common share and one transferable common share purchase warrant.� Each whole warrant will be exercisable into one additional common share at an exercise price of $0.22 for a period of 2 years from closing.� Finder's fees on a portion of the financing may be payable in accordance with the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange.
