Atlas Iron & The World?s Greatest Shave
Atlas Iron MD David Flanagan has succeeded in building a $240 million cash kitty ? and rising rapidly ? for the WA iron ore miner. And now he is applying his capital raising skills to an organisation of a different kind.
David has booked in to have his head shaved at 10.30am in the Atlas office this Friday (8 April) as part of the Leukaemia Foundations? World?s Greatest Shave.
David has already raised over $70,000 for the popular fundraiser, which sees more than 125,000 people from all walks of live either shave or colour their hair to raise money to support patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
David, who is this year?s mine ambassador for the World?s Great Shave, has invited Atlas staff and contractors to watch him lose his blond locks. Volunteers are also invited to participate in shaving David?s head, although they will be charged a fee for the pleasure!
