Nordic Starts Drilling Program on Nyborg VMS Project
======================================================================
April 14, 2008 - Nordic Diamonds Ltd. (NDL.V) (the "Company" or
"Nordic") wishes to announce that a
Diamond drilling program has
commenced on the Company's Nyborg Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS")
Project located in northern Sweden.
A total of six targets located in two separate zones will be drill
tested using. The targets vary in depth from 170 to 400 meters and were
identified during a Transient Electromagnetic survey (TEM) undertaken
during October 2007. The program will consist of approximately 1800
meters of drilling.
The Nyborg VMS Project is located in the famous Skelleftea mining
district of northern Sweden. The project is located approximately 600
km north of Stockholm. The property covers an area of 7381 hectares and
measures approximately 15km by 5km, trending east-west. The property
lies adjacent to a mining lease owned by Boliden that covers an active
mining operation, the Kristineberg Mine that has produced 22.4 Mt of
ore from 1941 to 2003, grading 1.0% Cu, 3.64% Zn, 0.24% Pb, 1.24 g/t
Au, and 36 g/t Ag. Ore has been mined from surface down to a depth of
1,200 meters.
The project encompasses a significant mineral prospect, the Nyborg
Zone, discovered in 1976 by the Swedish Geological Survey. A total of
56 core holes have been drilled and a mineralized zone extending 600
meters along strike has been previously identified, with drill
intercepts from this prospect having assayed up to 6.1% Zn, 0.4% Cu,
and 50g/t Ag, over 8.3m; and 9.24% Zn, 0.23% Cu, and 109g/t Ag over
3.1m. The assay results are historical in nature are not NI43-101
compliant, have not been verified by the Company's qualified person and
should not be relied upon. Several additional mineralized showings
occur coincident with two favorable stratigraphic horizons which extend
over 15 kilometers in length contained within the Company's property.
Walter Melnyk, P.Eng., President of Nordic, is a Qualified Person as
identified by NI 43-101 and is responsible for the design,
implementation and quality control of the Company's exploration
programs.
