>Finding Hope in a World of Perpetual War  - George F. Smith - Barbarous Relic
Having never been to mainland USA (only Hawaii) my comments here are given from purely an outsider's perspective.
I have found americans to be friendly, hospitable, generous, creative and inventive, entrepreneurial and to have a good sense of humour.
However they seem to have a very narrow view of the world, like as if they are the centre of the universe, and as such they try to impose that view on the rest, believing that view to be the best for everyone.
They make tremendous blunders in doing so. Like getting involved in futile wars, trying to overturn hundreds of years of people's culture, political and religious beliefs and expecting those people to be somehow grateful.
In short the USA wins the war but so very badly loses the battle.
They win no respect and simply make further enemies for generations.
I believe this comes about due to Americans being far too nationalistic and patriotic which blinds them from a more inclusive world view.
Sadly that is costing them a lot, an awful lot, in many, many ways.
Just my opinion
