>The Unifying Theme of Bible Prophecy; the Punishment for Usury  - Jason Hommel - Silverstockreport
Ah yes, buy gold and silver.
And inflation is just usury by proxy.

Consider if you will, you loan the currency of the day and take PMs as collateral. Later, you return the collateral and take currency of the day plus profit.
Replace the word "loan" with "sell", the word "return" with "sell", and "collateral" with "possession".

Is inflation not a tax on future earnings? Is it not a contract to obtain funds that is cost+? And that + (plus) means what? Profit for losing the use of those funds over the duration of time involved. Inflation is a monetary event. So inflation is what? Uh-huh, usury.

And those who capitalize on inflation to obtain profits are just engaging in usury by proxy.

No judgement calls by me one way or the other.
We are all stuck trying to survive and prosper in a world that lacks honest money (money defined as operative currency of the day).

Keep in mind, interpretation is a personal thing. Be not a stumbling block. I do seem to recall the admonishment in the O.T. to not engage in usury among themselves, but it was okay to charge the non-judahists usury.
