>An Opening to Iran?  - Ron Paul -
My criticism of Ron Paul is by no means an endorsement of Obama: both are anti-Israel. Nor do I think Israel beyond accusations of human rights violations - but compared to Iranian Islamic Law Israel is a most benevolent nation.

My position on the Democratic and Republican parties is that they are, in essence, rival Socialist gangs - the Republicans really more deceitful giving but lip service to the original ideas of the Founding Fathers. The only hope I see is either from the Tea Party breaking away entirely from the Republicans as a new third party -- much as the Republicans separated from the Whigs, wishy washy over slavery, in the 1850s. Then there is the Libertarian alternative, around for decades, which might finally catch fire.

I was an original supported of Paul and the Libertarians in the 70s but now have issues with both. if Ted Cruz and Rand Paul could unite around a core platform we just might have a chance. But I can't help but think that even that event would not make a dent in the millions of voters now linked to entitlements for their daily existence.
