And who didn't see this coming?
They took away gold coinage.
They took away silver coinage.
They severed the connection to gold and left us with fiat.
They pushed for Direct Deposit on everything; Transfer payments, paychecks, Social Security, tax rebates, etc.
They even changed the metal content of the penny and nickel.
And now they are taking away fiat and replacing it with EBT cards.
Tis far easier to track and manage electronic transfers than fiat.

Now factor in "Just in time delivery".

Add a goodly dollop of POTUS blackmailing the Republicans in Congress using SNAP as the potential mechanism of injury.

Some folks are born idiots while most of the rest strive their entire lives to achieve that desired(?) status.
