From the Jansen article:
"So maybe, just maybe, a small part of the 510 tons was exported to the mainland through tunnels ... "
From the GATA article:
"... appears to be smuggled into China ... "

Speculation is NOT evidence.
The television report inferred that the tunnel was still under construction. Perhaps nothing had been smuggled as yet.
This was sloppy and blatantly deceptive reporting at best.

Beginning of the headline :India may not be the only country into which large amounts of gold are being smuggled.
