Murmuration

A flock of starlings is defined as a murmuration.
Maybe its the sound that they give off when flying in unison.
Discussed this at work today and everyone (9) agreed that this phenomenon was not in any way chaotic or violent. Rather it was synchronous, harmonious, and peaceful to watch.

So I am bemused as to how this can equate to historical uprisings and current day violence.

War and violence are certainly not a murmur either.
