I think that you are ignoring the facts James.

What is happening in contemporary America is that 1% of the population now owns 90% of the wealth, that rich people pay a paltry amount of tax and that corporations move their profits around the world in search for the lowest tax rate on the planet. The result is that the tax base is too small to maintain the basic services people need and the lifestyle they expect. Add to that the fact that the working class and now the middle class have become the slaves of the rich with extremely low pay, uncertain jobs, falling conditions of employment and attacks from vested interests who want even more concessions.
So you think that America is in trouble? You bet. Even funny money printing programs cannot hold off the inevitable. Just like business the most efficient prospers whilst the weal dies. Whilst this may not come as a pleasant surprise to patriots America is on the ropes and will not be making a comeback because the system has become unjust and unfair and you cannot rape everybody for the obscene needs of the rich. LET THEM EAT CAKE!!
