If establishing a minimum wage works, why do we have this pretty much identical discussion every couple three years?

Don't forget the first cousin of the above argument.
People can't raise a family on the minimum wage.

Awhile back the states sued the federal government over unfunded mandates regarding instant background checks for buying weapons.
Wouldn't minimum wage hikes be an unfunded mandate as well?

On a side note, you must have ruffled someone's feathers because when I opened this article, you had a 1 star rating for it.
Obviously they are believers in Uncle Sam being a wise old wizard rather than the well-documented cripple with dementia, paranoia and psychopathic tendencies.
