The Indian Wars with the Sioux, Commanchees and numerous others, the Hawaiian conflict, the participation in the Boxer Rebellion, the Spanish-American war, the colonization of the Philippines, the Panamanian revolution and other latin American conflicts, all were not considered peaceful by those who participated in them.

When a writer erases history to prove a historical point he loses validity.
