Nice piece Nelson,but I have disagree with you on "climbing out" after the big one.

Like great empires past,The Roman, Medo-Persian,Babylonian ect. all believed they were exceptional and invincible like America. They ultimately succumbed to their own moral weight and collapsed.

America and the West will be no different. We are seeing the death throes now.

As wonderful and terrible as a America is ,no nation can survive at this level of insanity and disorder much longer. The banks know it, the politicians know it ,even the people on the street sense it and despite what goodies Mr Trump may offer, the ultimate collapse is inevitable even with all his talent and skill ,as you correctly say , will only buy some time.

Clinton is the Kamikaze president no reasonable person wants.

But then again there is nothing reasonable about politics.-I'll take Trump
