I agree with you on some of your assessments George but do you still want to use public roads, hospitals, police and teachers.........or do you intend to build your own? That is the dilemma. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
What we need is to take electoral donations out of the political game and legislate to make any form of inducement (now, later, to family members, jobs after politics, etc.) ILLEGAL and punishable with stiff prison sentences. No outs for the well connected!! Then you will get proper government and the control of the public service. Until then society is the hostage of the rich acting out through their paid stooges (politicians) who serve them, not us.
The real issue you need to confront is WHO is controlling the political game. Blind Freddy knows that ordinary citizens are good for 2 things only: voting and stumping up money through taxes. Nothing else. So who cares what the elite does to them!

Beginning of the headline :I propose an experiment.Let all government employees go it alone completely segregated from the rest of us, and let the rest of us live our lives without the interference of government employees. Would the first group have to form a market? Would the second group have to form a state?
