Despite his confessed indifference, Kunstler - embracing the dictum of never letting them see you whimper - must have felt gutted by Trump rightfully ditching the Paris Accords.

He shows his angst with this: "It's Trump wish to bring back the America of humming factories and happy workers seeing the USA in their Chevrolets and all that." He calls such a wish a "fantasy". It is - rather - an effort to jumpstart the society that created the greatest prosperity the world has ever seen through free enterprise. An effort hobbled, hog tied, and otherwise smothered by environmentalist hobgoblins and man-made global warming witch doctors.
