But, but, but... the Mega Banks all passed their stress tests. Unemployment is at historic lows, the stock markets are all near record highs, and real estate values are up. Didn't you get the memo Mr. K, that everything is just fine.

I kind of doubt that Joe Public has swallowed all the statistical excrement that is being shoveled out by official sources. I think a great many have decided to play the same game as the government, spend like there's no tomorrow, because there isn't.
