>April 2, 1792 : The US Coinage Act - The buck stops here - History of Gold
Thanks Tracy Mayer for saving me the trouble of looking up this important act. It has always bothered me that District or Country Attorneys have so much power to prosecute who they will and who they politically will not. In the case of Lyndon B. Johnson and Congress debasing the coinage more than likely no one registered a complaint. If they did the Attorney General chose not to prosecute a blatantly criminal act witnessed by the entire nation.
Where does it state in the Federal law that “anyone who breaches their oath of office after being tried and convicted should be taken to the nearest and busiest intersection and hang by the neck until dead and the body to be left for 24 hours as a witness to all that would break their oath of office”? Or some similar wording.
