Perhaps Trump wants the dollar to devalue - even loose its global reserve currency status - with a cheaper dollar it's easier to sell US products abroad, bring down the defecit, get US busineses and employment rising with rising wages. But he doesn't want the markets to know that's his game plan - make it someone else's fault that the dollar looses.
