Kunstler's title THE RISING is psychologically revealing: it should be called THE LOWERING. The lowering of intellectual standards to push an anti-industrial agenda; the lowering of journalistic standards to make a buck rather then to enlighten a readership -- the goal to laugh and throw peanuts to a dumbed-down readership that somehow finds his interspersing of profanity with obscure words exciting.

Yet each week his rhetoric gets more frenzied and shrill like a rooster long denied the henhouse. And like that rooster, he furiously throws each new world problem at the locked enclosure.

You see the world is not collasping quickly enough for him, the economic earthquakes not severe enough, the revolutions against Capitalism not bloody enough, the calls to return to his 'world made by hand' not taken seriously enough.

Naturally the socialist left loves him as well as the anarchist right -- as circus owners love a pitchman ushering the guillibe into the sideshows.

Anyone still desiring to read his material ought harken to the words posted high above the gates of Journalistic Hell: ABANDON REASON ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE.
