>On denationalizing the Olympics  - Doug Casey - Casey Research
Casey doesn't like the Olympics and National Anthems because he doesn't like the concept of nations at all. He believes in something called 'benign anarchy' -- a contraction if ever I've heard one.

Casey makes all kinds of off-the-wall comments in this interview.

He said of the British Government: "Much more dangerous than the presumed terrorists, however, is that the British have turned the place into an armed, totalitarian police state for the duration of the Olympics." There are tens of thousands of people in London and only Casey is complaining of a totalitarian state -- most, if not all, appreciate the additional protection. I guess Casey doesn't believe terrorists exists. Maybe he thinks it's all a conspiracy.

He calls Romney "an angry old white man" and says nothing about Obama. Advocating free enterprise over government welfare makes one "angry?" And what does being "white" have to do with it?

He wants to add poker, a quiz event, and pool to some kind of new Olympics. He says athletes should be allowed to take drugs and I imagine he would approved of a crack-head hop, step, and jump event -- which might be fun to watch.
