I hope that somebody walks into your home and takes your car. When you object I hope they call you a mafia member for objecting.

Ownership is not a notional concept nor is it optional. The belief that if a resource is discovered and mined then this confers ownership on the miner is ludicrous for the same reason that if you crop somebody else's land then the crop is not yours to harvest. Basic logic really.

Miners have a reputation of slash and burn. And when they are finished they leave the mess for taxpayers to clean up.

The sooner the mining industry accept that it deserves some reward rather than blustering 'its mine' then the sooner a proper business relationship is established. This is how it works.
