The mad gnome of verbosity strikes again, fangs flared, lips curled, eyes tweaked like a drunken Ruskie, berating everything Western, industrial, rational. The West is falling, yes, but not due to the philosophy that gave rise to Da Vinci and The Bill of Rights -- but to the mad gnomes dancing in the fires and urging us give up our automobiles and return to nature and whatever flint scrapers that can be made by hand.
