Jim, you might be right about how Ron Paul gets written up in the textbooks. Look at how they lionized Lincoln and FDR. Both were strongly anti-constitution in deeds well documented. But Ron Paul, by his own admission, accomplished no momentous deeds. But perhaps he did even greater good just by telling the other side of the story and letting us make up our own mind. Well, those of us capable of using critical thinking skills to form an opinion of our own.

Most of the history we are taught has been sanitized, white-washed and wrapped in red, white and blue with particular emphasis on hero creation. Ron Paul never made the cut for hero. He refused to pay Tom Sawyer to whitewash the fence. Yes Jim, you are probably right. Ron Paul might do no better in the textbooks than a footnote. Just remember, heroes are created for mass appeal. With enough sugar glaze, you can get the masses to eat dirt donuts.
