3) You know there was slavery in the north, everyone did. But Lincoln never moved to abolish it at any time prior to the war. If he did please provode links to detailed historical documents.

5) More of item 3, talk is cheap and action would have been proof that he was anti-slavery.
6) Nice story about buying the slaves, but it makes for a flimsy cover.
7) It was the north the started the war through their actions to force compliance out of the south.
8) How many times have you ever heard any politician in current days condemning slavery? Don't pick on Ron Paul because you dislike him.

Fact is that it took almost a year for Lincoln to take action on slavery after the war was over. Far too long a time to allow him to be counted in the anti-slavery camp.
