Wow. What an elitest manifesto for monopoly power! 1st, what about people who can only get dial up? Rural Wisconsin (and lots of other places)don't get high speed internet, so what are they supposed to do w/o the post office? Mr. Benson seems to think it's fine to pay for all those ads before you can send your AOL e-mail. Mail delivery costs the same whether you are in Manhatten or Grand Forks, ND. 2nd, for $.44 you can send up to an ounce of correspondence anywhere in the US. Wow, what a terrible price for guaranteed communication 6 days a week.

Mr. Bensen's argument boils down to "Let's throw out the USPS so we don't have to pay those darn postal workers' pensions." Well, I've got news... we're all Americans. Even those ones who don't have Comcast's or AT&T's latest communication scam.
