>The World According to Doug Casey  - The Gold Report -
Casey admits to being an anarchist in no uncertain terms: "I am an anarchist. Contrary to popular opinion, anarchy has nothing to do with a guy dressed in black holding a little round bomb with a lit fuse. Anarchy is a system of self-rule; you do not have someone telling you what to do and not do."

Unfortunately the history of mankind is not one of leaving others alone to do what they would according to their view of self interest. Humans will naturally associated into family groups, clans, races, gangs and without any government those groups will necessarily clash -- for who or what, if an objective system of law is abandoned, will arbitrate? Hence conflict until one group or another gains ascendency. In a previous article by Casey he revealed that he is building such a community of anarchists in Argentina -- land of dictators and disappearances. Good luck.

So what has been the best means of protecting one's self and property? A government formed with the limited powers of enforcing individual rights - as specified in the greatest documentsof all time, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. That system worked for a while until it was slowly easten away and destroyed -- the coup de grace given to it by the voters in the last election.

We are faced with the choice of Casey's anarchy which has and will never work and going back to a system of limited government that did work for a hundred years or so and gave rise to the greatest civilization the world has ever seen.

They are entirely two different things. The only way to revitalize the U.S. economy is through both vast reductions in taxes and vast reductions in government spending. Instead, these idiots are arguin... Read More
