>The Rainmakers  - James Howard Kunstler -
Every Monday the neighbor's dog takes a dump in my front yard. I've come to expect it - one of the negatives in life that one has to live with. And so I've a shovel, gloves, and plastic always bag ready at the side of the house.

"This much can be stated categorically about the USA these days: the more distressed our economy gets, the more delusional thinking you will encounter."

Well, I'm surprised -- and impressed: it's good for the soul to confess. And I was surprised to find, a paragraph down, another self-revelation:

"But it's another thing when professional propagandists take the stage and attempt to systematically mislead the public."

Had the man changed? It can happen. Alas, it was not to be! Speaking of Daniel Yergin (who in an article thoroughly debunks Peak Oil) Kunstler says:

"Spoken like a true PR whore."

James, James, James...you started out so well and then reverted to form. Well, got to get the shovel and gloves. See you next Monday.
