Market Chaos as Swiss Franc Surges 30 In 13 Minutes, Gold Rises Sharply
Am I missing something here? The title and also the article in general says the franc surges up. But a few sentences in to It then says "the franc 'collapsed' by 30%". What?

I'm not going to say this was not staged, because I know Govts, especially mine (U.S.) have pulled off a few large false flag events to further their agendas just recently. I do know that even if this AK were firing blanks they would have to be very careful not to injure the policeman anyway. Blanks propel hot gasses, unburned powder and cardboard/wadding material at high velocities, possibly enough to be deadly...

Gypsie, my take on what he's saying is on paper gold, not actual gold that you are holding in your hand. In that way, gold is gold, though Pandas have a higher premium, that actually scares me some. I'm pretty sure this isn't this article's reason, but one reason I feel that buying U.S. silver eagles (and junk silver) is probably the best, is because of all the recent silver counterfeiting. The Feds have historically gotten pretty mad when people try to counterfeit it's "money", even if it is in reality, just paper. So the same must apply for silver eagles? I have a mix of Eagles and generic rounds..........

Treasures and Gold Fever - Bix Weir
The Great Silver Mystery (...and the greatest secret of all time!)  (21)
I remember watching this documentary years ago but was before I started stacking so nothing clicked at the time. I do remember the fact that they used silver wire in these huge electro-magnets though. Something to think about.

I laugh at those who think our govt has never been deceptive, even to its own citizens. Though history has proven time and again that it has.

The Great Silver Mystery (...and the greatest secret of all time!)  (21)
Wouldn't shock me. I often wondered what Japan did with hundreds of thousands of tons of radioactive steel after 1945. Hmmm, couldn't have been sent back to America in the form of Japanese automobiles, could it? It would be the ultimate revenge

I love it! What a slap in the face this is to the overzealous gun control nuts. There is also a video on youtbe that shows a young man who is developing the same type 3-d printer program that can print off functioning AR lower receivers.

They Come For the Ammo: New Bill Would Require Background Checks for “Explosive Material  (6)
Will the background check include fertilizer? How about potassium nitrate, sulfur and charcoal (all of which I can obtain from natural processes)? What about propane? The U.S. Govt is doing every thing possible to try and disarm its citizens. I wonder why...........don't answer, most of us know. You may say 'its just a background check, and if you're legal, there should be no problems". Must I r...

The IRS's Job Is To Violate Our Liberties  (14)
I don't think this technique of harassment is localized just in the IRS. I remember the Federal Gibson Guitar raids shortly after Obama was in. Gibson was raided (by men with automatic weapons) for using the same practices as Fender Guitar of using a certain exotic wood. Fender was left alone to continue the same practice long after Gibson was raided. It turned out that Gibson had been a contributor to the...

Obama Is No Richard Nixon  (5)
Ha-ha! I was tricked by the article's title.
Pretty good article, except the part about sitting back and enjoying the show. Its hard to watch your country go down in flames. And I partly blame that on my fellow countrymen. Too many people have closed their eyes and decided the govt has all the answers. It seems the more the govt tinkers with our founding principals, the higher the flames go.

U.S. Congress Seeks to Replace the Base Metal of Most American Coins With Steel  (8)
A lot of us have been waiting for the change in base metal used. Some of those people who have been hoarding nickel rolls might not look so silly in a few years. And, yes, Im afraid we (The U.S.) are on that slippery slope down. Hopefully it wont be in my lifetime, though I do feel bad for our younger, young generations. Im afraid too many of our current young voting generation feel too entitled for anything ...

Best and Brightest: College Students Sign Petition to “Ban Pressure Cookers” *Video*
liberal chick........next thing, you better work on making cars illegal too. Auto accidents have probably caused more deaths in one day than every pressure cooker bomb ever assembled. That might be a conflict of interest for her though since she probably drove there in daddys SUV. I swear, liberals that have an ounce of common sense should be added to the endangered species list. It may be too late.

Like I said, Im not an expert. That means you may be completely right on the first part (or I'm completely wrong). It sounds like we're in agreement on at least the last half of your reply. Gold IS money.
I loved it when Ron Paul asked Bernanke if gold was money. Bernanke's look was priceless......or clueless.

There has to be some kind of world wide shortage of gold, or it wouldn't be worth anything. If it were as common as lead, it would cost the same as lead.
In the paper market, I just cant believe that every piece of paper has the gold or silver to back it. OK, maybe Perth Mint does. That's is where Suchecki is employed. And, yes, his point that physical gold price follows the paper spot price ...

Ok, I'm not an expert on the subject but I have done some extensive research since I've started "stacking" about a year and a half ago. I will not buy into what this guy, Suchecki is saying. According to the CBC Documentary on "The Secret World Of Gold" there is only enough gold in the world to fill three Olympic size swimming pools. I know gold is heavier than a lot of other...

Those gun laws that you are wanting changed just might make it a little less intimidating for the govt to come and confiscate your gold and silver. Think about it, the second amendment isn't in the Constitution to allow hunting. And, with that, we already have enough stomping on The U.S. Constitution. I think Article 1 Section 10 would fill as a good example here.

Often thought of that same question myself. What happens when the price goes up and we all jump out at once? Though I would like to hold on to my silver until maybe Im ready to retire (haha!). Hopefiully the base value will continue to go up over time and I can use it as somewhat of a hedge.
