New Poll Results: Majority Of White Americans Feel Discriminated Against  (1)
Naive (at best) to believe that racism is unique to those with white skin. By their very nature, organizations like the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, and La Raza (to name only a few) are racist to the core. To argue that people of color in today's society cannot be racist because they've been personally "oppressed" by some grand Caucasian conspiracy is absurd.

Whatever happened to the space race  (3)
Only a narrow minded and myopic individual would view the US Space Program and Project Apollo as a waste. Many technical innovations, in material science, in inertial navigation, in digital electronics (to name a few) were later transferred to the commercial sector, enabling many new products with higher efficiencies and lower cost. This ultimately transformed many existing markets and created entirely new one...

Trump to Build Wall, Punish Sanctuary Cities, Add 5,000 Border Agents: “Big Day, Mexico Will Pay” Says Trump  (3)
Sanity has prevailed. I guess you thought he would be like every other politician who are all talk and no action, politicians who conveniently forget about the promises they were supposed to deliver on. You might wish to educate yourself about the man; he has a solid track record of meaning what he says and following-thru on his commitments.

Mexico was a significant trading partner. Once most of th...

He Is Risen… But For How Long  (10)
The Deep State is corrupt, dysfunctional, and fraudulent .... in the extreme. Donald Trump is not perfect, but he is our best and possibly last chance to bring the Deep State to heel; to take this nation back from the legion of unelected bureaucrats who have spent the last 3+ decades running it into the ground.

Obama was the perfect lap dog for the Deep State .... did what he was told, and primarily w...

Trump's Ignorance  (9)
Bretton Woods occurred 73 years ago, back when gold-based currency and free-market economies were viable and implementable.

Fast forward to 2017. Gold-based dollars are no longer in play. There is no free market, and there has been no free market for at least several decades. At best we have crony capitalism, and capital allocations based on political whim and "best intentions". The stifling arr...

Mistakes Were Made  (5)
Re : "... the shocking loss of national purpose ..... " "... a nation that hates what it has become ...."

There is a huge list of reasons why, but one would never know it from reading this article. For starters :

1. The Obama administration has openly played the race card at every opportunity, plunging race relations to a low not seen in 50 years.
2. Political correctness has placed the ...

Tick Tick Tick  (38)
We have a president now who can utter coherent ideas, with articulation and grace. Unfortunately, without any real world experience in economics or foreign affairs, his "coherent" ideas have doubled the national debt, and we're now leveraged to the hilt like some poverty stricken 3rd world nation. Promotion of regime destabilization and subsequent abdication of regional leadership has plunged the entire Middl...

Welcome to World War Three  (28)
"....Now there is a huge over-supply of young men there with nothing to do but act out their angry psychodrama over having no future."

Is this true? My recollection over the past 40 years is that acts of terrorism perpetrated by militant Muslims are due to 1) Israeli control of Palestine, 2) U.S. interference in Middle Eastern affairs, 3) United States support for Israel, or 4) outrage that the worlds...

The US is moving to a gold standard  (10)
LOL, and how many millions were massacred by Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, and a handful of other tyrants? I wonder what percentage of those millions wished they had a firearm to have a chance, just a chance, to escape being shot in the head?

The great thing about America is that you have the freedom to believe whatever you want. If you believe this government "cares" about you, then you are naïve. If you...

The US is moving to a gold standard  (10)
The 2nd Amendment wasn't placed in the Constitution "to defend against hostile others and wildlife ...". It was placed there to defend citizens against their own government. Also, there's a reason why it's the 2nd Amendment (and not the 5th, or 7th, or 9th, or 22nd). The Founding Fathers felt that only the right of free speech (the 1st Amendment) was more important than the right to use firearms to defend...

"Libertarian Turned Keynesian" Responds  (9)
A Columbia graduate? Wow, this speaks volumes about the deterioration of education in this country.

An unemployed person (or anyone else for that matter) primarily needs food, clothing, and shelter. An unemployed person cannot provide any of those to another unemployed person. A person who is hungry doesn't want a haircut, or cleaning services, or a babysitter, or a massage. Their printed IOUs are...

Homeless  (26)
Wow, all this time I've been completely off-base!!! I had thought the demise of America was due the destruction of morals and ethics, the vilification of producers, the creation of the "entitlement" class, and an enormous government with a spending problem hell bent on trashing the Bill of Rights. I am so relieved to hear that our problems all stem from the fact that we live in a society which (still) uses...

Re : "I am coming to detest Mr. Obama for the unforgivable feats of doing absolutely nothing to oppose, resist, or remedy the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision, and doing absolutely nothing to restore the rule-of-law in banking. "

LOL, as if these are the most egregious sins of this Administration. These items are not even in the top 10 of their worst policy blunders.
