The Minitas concessions are located just over the Sinaloa border in Durango State. They are approximately 125 kilometers northeast of Mazatlan, accessed only by a 45 minute flight to Tayoltita.

Geology of the Minitas / La Cobriza Project |
|
The San Dimas area is located in the central Sierra Madre. This consists of volcanic rocks from two volcanic episodes. The first is termed the LVG (lower volcanic group) and was formed some 100 to 45 million years ago. This group contains the productive veins hosted within rhyolites, andesites and also granodiorites.
