History of the Azuero Project |
Small amounts of placer gold have been produced from some of the creeks in the area. Reportedly the gold is fairly coarse and is estimated to be 800 fine (Rogowski, 1993).

Geology of the Azuero Project |
Gold at Pitaloza occurs with copper and is associated with silicification, advanced argillic alteration, and strong pyritization. Pyrite content locally exceeds 10%.
