Archean age Michipicoten Greenstone Belt including sheared diorite and blue quartz eye diorite Alteration of sheared rocks includes sericite, carbonate, silica (quartz veins), chlorite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite Gold is associated with sulphide-bearing quartz veins that occur within the shear zone
