Geology of the Copper Ace Project
The claims cover late Paleozoic Cache Creek Group sediments and mafic volcanic rocks cut by intrusive rocks related to the Granite Mountain Batholith. This is a Late Triassic, medium to very coarse-grained quartz diorite to tonalite intrusion that has been variably deformed, metamorphosed and hydrothermally altered and forms the host rocks for the Gibraltar copper-molybdenum deposits.
