The Yukon tin properties were staked in October 2005, and comprise four claim groups totalling 32 claims (668 ha) covering tin skarn mineralization, including the JC deposit, in the Smart River area 195km southeast of Whitehorse and 26km north of Kilometre 1,206 on the Alaska Highway.

The JC deposit was extensively explored from 1977-1982 by a syndicate operated by Cominco Ltd. on behalf of Dome Exploration Canada Ltd. (the "DC Syndicate").
