Location of the Montrose Project
The property is located in a greenstone belt composed mainly of sequences of meta-sedimentary rocks descriptively similar to the Temiskaming meta-sedimentary rocks found in the Kirkland Lake area.

History of the Montrose Project
Gold was discovered in the area in the mid 1940. Gold was discovered by Felix Roche between 1944-1945. The Northern part of the property is underlain by the Timiskaming metasediments and the southwestern part by the Keewatin felsic metavolcanics which have been altered to chlorite sericite schist.

Geology of the Montrose Project
The area is characterized by a wide northeast deformation zone of shearing. The claims are located in an area with very little overburden. A series of untested airborne anomalies have been observed on the property.
