History of the Murray Basin Project |
Heavy mineral sands were first identified in the Murray Basin in the 1960’s with exploration commencing in the 1970’s. More significant exploration continued throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, and three companies are now constructing, commissioning or operating mineral sands mines in the Murray Basin.
