Location of the Murray Basin Project
The Murray Basin projects, encompassing ten project areas, are located in the northwest of Victoria and south-western New South Wales. The projects are readily accessible via a network of highways and sealed secondary roads servicing farms and rural communities throughout the Murray Basin. The projects generally lie within relatively flat, cleared freehold agricultural land.

History of the Murray Basin Project
Heavy mineral sands were first identified in the Murray Basin in the 1960’s with exploration commencing in the 1970’s. More significant exploration continued throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, and three companies are now constructing, commissioning or operating mineral sands mines in the Murray Basin.
