History of the Oracle Ridge Project
The Oracle Ridge Mining District was discovered in 1873. It is also referred to in the literature as the Old Hat or Control Mining District and it has had spotty production since 1937. The last production was from 1991 to 1996. Located on private land, the Oracle Ridge Copper Mine is an underground copper mine with 11 miles of underground workings and has not been in production since 1996.
