The property is located in the Northern part of the Yukon Territory approximately 395 km northeast of Dawson City and approximately 56 km east of Eagle Plains, located on the Dempster Highway. The NOR is located on the east side of the Richardson Mountains in an area that is transacted by the Richardson Fault array.

The NOR bears striking geological, geochemical and geophysical similarities to the Gawlor Craton of South Australia and to the Olympic Dam (copper, gold, uranium, rare earth) deposit located therein. NOR is an IOCG (iron oxide-copper-gold) target.
